Basil chicken is a spicy dish with ground chicken, basil leaves, and chilies. This recipe is great with rice but, don’t add rice until you are in the maintenance phase of the HCG Diet.
1/2 c. finely chopped green or red onion
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 1/2 c. chopped tomatoes
100 grams. Boneless chicken breast halves,
cooked and cubed
1/4 c. chopped fresh basil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. hot pepper sauce
In a warm skillet, sauté the onions and garlic. Stir in the tomatoes, chicken, basil, salt and hot pepper sauce. Reduce heat to medium, and cover skillet. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until mixture is hot and tomatoes are soft.
