Stress and tension are challenges that many HCG dieters have to overcome at some point throughout the diet. We all know that many of us gain weight due to stress. Either because you eat to overcome stress or just binge to forget stress. Whether you’re stressed about finishing the diet, losing weight, or other things completely un-diet related, here are a few tips on how to ease that tension:
Enjoy and have fun- Have fun and enjoy spending time with friends. Having fun doesn’t have to involve eating or drinking. You could go out for a movie, a road trip or go shopping for clothes. when you go shopping, try to get some clothes smaller than y our regular size and have it as your weight lose goal inspiration.
Exercise or go for a walk or stretch. Endorphins are released which will make you feel better every time you go for a 15 minute exercise to keep your blood flowing.
Take deep breathes and relax.
Yoga- This is a practice that will relieve stress and also helps in weight management. This exercise is a great while on the HCG diet or just for overall fitness.
Listen to Music- Studies show that listening to good music will help you calm down, especially if it’s your favorite music. For a good relaxation, slow and calm music are most preferable.
Indulge in Aroma therapy- You can place calming scents at home or in your car, or simply going to the spa and enjoy the aroma therapy.
Meditation can do wonders- try to calm your mind as much as possible for at least 5-10 minutes. Envision yourself at your ideal weight, all the things you will enjoy and do which were previously difficult or impossible. This not only calms your mind and relieves tension, but helps motivate you to lose weight.
