HCG is accompanied with a Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) where normal meals are replaced with a very restricted meal. The typical daily calorie intake is 500 Calories, which, was the original intake in Dr. Simeons protocol. With further experimentation and study a modification of this very low calorie has been made.
Generally exercise isn’t recommended while a person is on a 500 VLCD as the calories consumed aren’t sufficient to support it. However, with the 800-1200 calorie diet, you can maintain a more active lifestyle while on HCG. We only recommend light exercises such as walking, stretching and yoga and for those with an excessive amount of weight to lose, swimming is also allowed but should only be done in small increments.
So for those who have asked if the same weight loss is achievable using the 800 and 1200 VLCD, the answer is yes. Exercise is the most important thing to consider when choosing the calorie intake for your diet.
