Portion Control-practice eating in smaller portions. Most of us put too much food on our plate. A great portion control tip is to put smaller portions of the unhealthy foods, and larger portions of the veggies to compensate.

If you want to treat yourself and eat out, eat in places where you can order healthy foods.

If you want to eat something however the way it is cooked is unhealthy and fatty, then ask for a substitute or a another meal of the same kind but cooked in a healthy way.

Eat a little less for lunch, if you are planning to eat something you like for snack or dinner but do not skip any meals at all, this may lead to over eating.

Avoid “all you can eat” buffets!

Avoid alcohol the best you can! Alcoholic beverages have 200 calories per ounce which can add up fast. So if you drink more and often, you know what’s going to happen next.

Make eating a salad before meals a habit. This will keep you full before the actual meal is served.

Make it a habit to drink at least a glass of water before eating, this can also make you feel full to pig out.
