Missy Elliott 71 Pounds Weight Loss Story
Missy Elliot not only rocked the Superbowl half time show, but she cried tears of joy afterwards for all the love she received on social media for her amazing 71 pound weight loss transformation.

Missy Elliott Looks great after losing 71 pounds!
Missy Elliott put on an impressive performance singing three of her hits, ‘Get Ur Freak On’, ‘Work It’ and ‘Lose Control,’
Afterwards, Missy shared this on Twitter about her weight loss journey:
“I do the Insanity workout. Sweets/bread/ fried foods is my weakness. It’s not easy but health comes 1st :)”
According to axs.com, Missy Elliott says she didn’t lose all the weight at once, she lost a lot back in 2002, and more recently lost 30 pounds by stepping up her nutrition and exercise with the insanity workout.
If you haven’t done yet, it’s really a great program. I have fond memories of doing it with my family two years ago, the Director of Marketing sent me the program because I’m in the wellness industry, and when my kids saw the kit on the kitchen table they immediately got excited and said they wanted to do it.
So, we did it as a family, and for six weeks we were all tripping over ourselves while we sweated it up in our family room after pushing couches and chairs aside. Afterwards, we were all in better shape and had a love/ hate relationship with Shaun T. After all, it has the word “Insanity” in it for a reason.
The workout is based on high intensity intervals, and requires no equipment. If you are looking for a serious workout that allows you to work out in the privacy of your own home, while getting a way above average workout, I highly recommend it, .
I don’t recommend it over CrossFit, though, which is my current exercise addiction (for the last 2 years), and I recommend it over insanity for a couple of reasons, one of them being the gym atmosphere and class is, in my opinion, better than home workouts. Plus the instructors in CrossFit are very good, and are able to watch and help you to keep good form and really improve in a way that I just don’t think you can on your own.
But, I also get that CrossFit isn’t for everybody and something like Insanity is also way cheaper, as it’s a one time purchase, not a monthly commitment.
Either way, I am a huge fan of short, intense workouts over long slow ones. And believe me, I’ve done my share of long slow ones as I competed in triathlon for eight years, including the National Championships in Olympic Distance… so I get the whole long, slow endurance thing.
But, it does wear you out, and has nasty side effects like adrenal fatigue, and accelerated aging.
So, the “Missy Elliott Weight Loss” challenge is probably a good one for anybody who wants to lose weight and keep it off, improved nutrition combined with high intensity exercise.
Of course, using our own HCG EZ Drops to drop 20-40 pounds really fast is always a good idea too ;-), as it’s fast, giving quick gratification and rapid weight loss.
Wishing you health and success!
