Allowed Exercise Habits While on HCG

There is no need to exercise heavily while on the HCG diet; in fact, it’s recommended that you don’t. Since your body is burning so many calories already, exercising with high-intensity workouts could result in you burning too many calories and could potentially be dangerous. This is great for individuals who don’t like to exercise, but for normally active people, it can be frustrating. There are some simple allowed exercise habits while on HCG, for those who want to stay active.

Walking

One of the greatest exercises to do while on the HCG diet is walking. Rather than walking quickly or power walking, take your time and enjoy the scenery. A fifteen or twenty minute walk a day is the perfect way to remain active without placing yourself in danger while taking HCG. Bring along some chilled water or green tea incase it is hot, and don’t over exert yourself. It’s best to walk in the evenings when it’s cooler, and to take your time.

 Yoga

Yoga is a wonderful, low-intensity workout that focuses on toning muscles and increasing core strength. Yoga is a great exercise to do while you’re on the HCG diet. It allows you to stretch your limbs, enjoy calmness and strengthen and tone muscles. Since the HCG diet helps individuals lose weight relatively quickly, it’s a great idea to work carefully on toning the muscles to prevent skin sagging and other issues. There are numerous yoga DVDs and videos that can walk you through the steps.

 Pilates

Another low-intensity workout that is designed to tone muscles, Pilates is a wonderful exercise for HCG dieters. With this exercise, there is a lot of stretching that strengthens the core and tones the muscles without a lot of calorie burn. This is perfect for the HCG diet. As with yoga, there are numerous instructional DVDs and videos that can help you learn the basic moves.

What to Avoid

While you’re on the HCG diet, you should avoid anything that burns a lot of calories. This includes running or jogging, skipping rope, swimming, bicycling, and any similar activities. These workouts are simply too high-intensity and could be dangerous. If the body burns too many calories, it will go into starvation mode, which will make it difficult or impossible to lose weight, even while on the HCG diet. Avoid these exercises and stick to more peaceful, calm exercises designed to tone muscles and strengthen the body.

After the HCG diet, individuals can gradually increase their exercise levels until they’re participating in a more strenuous exercise regimen. However, while you’re on the HCG diet, it’s important to stick to the above exercises and avoid burning too many calories.
