HCG Product Safe List (Cosmetics and Lotions)
Did you know that Dr. Simeons taught that when oily substances such as fats, ointments and other assorted body creams applied directly on the skin often interfere with HCG weight reduction capabilities?
While much research has been done on which cosmetics actually penetrate the skin, and in our experience, this has little effect on your weight loss, we realize many of you are pretty dedicated and want to be strictly “by the book” on your diet, so we supply this info for purists!
One thing we know for sure, these three products can be used with zero negative effects:
-eye brow pencil
-lipstick products
-body powder.
Other cosmetics should be avoided (according to Dr. Simeons) as much as possible unless they have no lanolin or oil in within their composition.
So, if you are determined to follow the protocol to the letter, here’s a great guide that will help out!
1. Use ‘oil free’ products. Replace all oil based lotions and cosmetics with non-oil products.
2. Avoid use of deodorants especially after work and while at home. It is even better to use baby oil with Peppermint Essential Oil as a natural deodorant.
3. Replace all the other types of moisturizing agents with mineral oil based moisturizing agents.
4. Read all the labels of the products you use to ensure that they are not oil based. All products with fats, lanolin, butter, petrolatum, glycerin and petroleum jelly are not good for you.

Actually, I used all the products I regularly used even while doing the hcg diet, except those oil based ones. It did not affect my weight loss. I lost 15 lbs in 15 days. But are you sure it’s ok to use even those oil based ones? I can’t go without it specially it’s winter.

Just use whatever makeup and lotion works best for you, it won’t affect your diet based on research on based on so many people’s experience. So, you don’t need to change your regimen. Or, just choose from the list we provided on this blog post. However, you should avoid ingredients that contains paraben, which have been proven to cause hormonal imbalances that can lead to weight gain.

So, I can use my Origins make-up, cleansers and moisturizers?
On my first run of HCG I was told anything containing oils interfered with the weight loss, even cleaning supplies. I was told to use gloves when cleaning house.
I’m glad to hear these items don’t matter.

I used my well used products and I don’t think it made me gain or stall. Even if it’s oil based. I have very dry skin so I wouldn’t go a day without my oil based product. Water based don’t do the job well in moisturizing my skin. That is just my own experience though.
